The Consequences of an Ignorant Human

An icy mass yields to the heated fervour of the air; a kiss of warmth on the frozen water that manipulates it to expand out of its  state. Plastic debris thrown in by various travellers find this melted glacier a pleasurable expedition to go upon, ignorant of the thousands of animals that they force to choke inside their own homes.

Simultaneously, an urban migrant’s cigarette and car emit grey caresses of wind that travel south, carelessly gliding across dirty green patches. They wash the air dry and induce it with more filth and dirt than already present.

The same smoke, after meeting its fellow lookalikes, jaunts back to the cold mountains to stifle the arrival of rain, causing the heavy black clouds to swear a sacred oath of never returning. The mountain’s inhabitants curse the irreverent smog heartily, despairing the settle of dirty soot on their chilled terrain.

Large thickets of greenery protect frightened dwellers from the glare of watchful eyes and the noises of their various axes and guns. Their trucks are just on the way to catch monthly timber prey. It is only a matter of time before the next massacre starts.

The melted iceberg, the dirty residue. The pollution, the littered peak. The deforestation, the poaching.

Meanwhile, the savage migrant stomps on the butt of his cigarette; nonchalantly pulling out another. Whistling indifferently and ignoring the cries of all living beings that suffer—the foolish human lights his cigarette again and pops it into his mouth.
